Rerooting Jasper, a mural created for the community Jasper one year after an outrageous wildfire hit the valley and burned one third of the town to ashes. It is an image of hope and renewal. The towering Douglas fir, with deep, strong roots symbolises shelter and the long process of rerooting. Surrounding it, purple fireweed blossoms (flowers that spring up after wildfires) bringing new color, resilience, and life to scarred landscapes. Curated by Uplift Jasper and funded by the Red Cross
