Pink Flamingo Hostel

Description

The entrance to the Pink Flamingo hostel is located in a narrow alley in the center of The Hague. To brighten up the entrance to the hostel, Bier en Brood were commissioned to create a mural that also serves as advertising for the hostel.

Bier en Brood usually works in black/white and shades of gray. In this case, the mural was also done in pink because it is in the name of the hostel.

The flamingo also symbolizes conviviality and being social.

During the first lock down in 2020 street art crossed my path. I was amazed by the quality and the effect on the environment. Since then, street art has stuck with me. I regularly give guided tours along street art in the center of The Hague and over the Binckhorst.
