This mural is by artist Tristan Eaton in the Kaka'ako neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii. Painted during the Pow Wow! Hawaii street art festival, the piece is a collaboration with Eaton's older brother, Matthew Eaton, and is dedicated to their Uncle Binda.
The mural depicts a large, colorful tiger head that appears to be peeling away, revealing different layers of imagery underneath. Within these layers, human faces and various abstract and pop culture-inspired details are visible, executed in Eaton's distinctive collage-like style. The artwork was created freehand using only spray paint over a five-day period in February 2014. It is located on the side of a building on Ala Moana Boulevard and Keawe Street, and it is a prominent example of the vibrant street art that defines the Kaka'ako area.
