Description

In a casemate along the River Lek in Vreeswijk (Nieuwegein), Verfdokter (Robert-Jan Brink) created this mural. It is not entirely clear whether the faces will be further detailed. Since his name is already present on the artwork, it is quite possible that the mural has already been completed, although there has been no media coverage of it so far. To be continued.

My passion for murals began in 2019. I read a newspaper article about Jan is de Man, who had created a mural in Utrecht. It depicted a bookcase (on Mimosastraat). Local residents had been asked what their favorite book was and whether he could include it on the bookshelf. After my retirement, I started organizing cycling tours past twenty beautiful, large murals in Utrecht, and more recently also in Nieuwegein. It’s great fun to do!
