The Solendo was a legendary beach bar and nightlife hotspot located in the Dortmund Harbor for many years. Situated directly opposite the historic harbor authority building, it featured real sand, palm trees, and deckchairs, bringing a holiday vibe right into the Ruhr area. As part of the harbor redevelopment, the final remaining structures and extensions on Speicherstraße were completely demolished. This piece was an appeal for a new Solendo for the future.
