Graffiti at the fire station

There is a little picture story in pop art style for the Altona Volunteer Fire Department, based in Hamburg's Schanzenviertel. (Very funny: note the corrugated iron look painted on the brick around the gates)

Wandgestalten (Philipp Kabbe)

"My passion for drawing began at the tender age of 7 with the first comic strips I developed myself. The pictures got bigger and in 1989 I took the can out into public spaces - a little impetuous at first, but soon I was so skilled that the first requests for work were already being implemented in the Frankfurt area in 1990. During my training as a communications designer with a focus on the web, animation and of course illustration, the first references were made in the Hamburg area for self-financing. What started "on the side" became an odyssey-like real profession in 2001, as the field I had trained in did not offer any satisfying work due to the bursting of the New Economy bubble. After 15 years as a freelance artist, I am very grateful for that!"
