This design depicts a girl carrying a large beehive. The hive serves as both a nod to the local beekeeper and a symbol of the street itself—a community centered on cooperation and mutual care. Just as bees work together to build their nest, the people of this street form a collaborative community. Diverse generations and backgrounds come together here—not merely as separate individuals, but as a collective, a dynamic network.

Emerging from the hive in the design are not just bees, but a variety of small objects, animals, and symbols. Together, they represent the collection of memories and anecdotes that bind the residents of Rotselaarsesteenweg to one another. Roller skates evoke children playing in the street; a squirrel alludes to the Wijgmaalbroek nature area; small lights signify shared celebrations; and twinkling lights represent keeping memories—and the people who have passed away—alive.
