Description

That is the "Cumprir" collaborative tile mural, located right outside the Trindade Metro station in Porto! It was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the April 25th Carnation Revolution (and to advocate for fulfilling the values of the Portuguese Constitution). Artistically directed by the visual artist Miguel Januário (known for his ±MaisMenos± project), it’s a community-driven piece made of 736 individual tiles. If you look closely at the mosaic layout, the red tiles are carefully arranged to form a massive carnation (cravo) spreading across the wall behind the word "CUMPRIR". The individual tiles feature drawings from regular citizens of all ages alongside well-known Portuguese artists like Vhils, Capicua, and AkaCorleone. (according to Google Gemini)
