“Fisherman” honours the pivotal part that Italian immigrants played in developing Port Pirie's historic fishing industry.

The first street art project initiated by Port Pirie Regional Council, it is a fitting catalyst for other murals that were created in the subsequent The Big Picture Fest in 2018.

Rumour has it that this gentleman’s name is Norman, which is why the street is called Norman Street… but this is a well established falsehood.
