Description

In the car park on the grounds of The Bureau of Silly Ideas, Arch 18 Valentia Place, Eyedealis created a colourful mural. Eyedealis (or @eyedealis on social media) is an independent street artist and graphic designer who is mainly active in London’s vibrant street art scene, particularly in and around the Shoreditch neighbourhood.

As the name ‘Eyedealis’ suggests, eyes play a central role in the work. They appear everywhere amongst the undulating shapes and gaze directly at passers-by, giving the artwork a surreal, almost lifelike quality. The artist often works with bold, contrasting colour combinations. Many of his murals make use of earthy yet vibrant hues, such as the burgundy red, ochre yellow, warm orange and soft pink of this artwork, sharply outlined with thick black contours.

As well as creating large-scale murals and painting roller shutters and shop fronts around the city, Eyedealis also applies his signature patterns to clothing, prints and other design projects.
