Imagine

With the title “Imagine”, Alessio-B pays tribute to one of the most powerful pacifist and dreamer anthems in contemporary music: John Lennon’s celebrated song, which resonates in the words “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.” It is precisely from this phrase that the inspiration arises for a delicate, quiet, yet deeply evocative work.

On a private wall transformed into canvas, the figure of a young woman absorbed in playing the violin takes shape. The choice of black and white for her face and instrument, contrasted with the vivid pink of her dress and the light blue butterflies fluttering around her, creates a suspended dimension between reality and imagination.

The musical gesture, depicted at the very moment of execution, is not only sound: it is an expression of inner life, of dreaming, of poetic resistance. The butterflies become symbols of freedom, transformation, and lightness: thoughts that take flight, music that reaches those who look and listen.

In a complex world, where dreaming can appear naïve or futile, Alessio-B reminds us that we are not alone in longing for another reality: more harmonious, more humane, more free. Imagine is not just the title of a song, but an invitation — to look, to listen, and above all, to keep imagining.
