Artwise the Wall

The highly visible, approximately 400-square-metre wall on the bend of Komunardů Street has for years served as a kind of showroom for the Czech street art scene. The project was launched in 2012, with legendary Prague graffiti artist Filip Crhák, a.k.a. Čočkin, among its co-founders.
Following his death in 2017, the project has been run by street artists Ondřej Klíma (currently its leading curator) and Tomáš Dont. Over the years, the wall has featured murals by more than 20 artists, including Michal Škapa, Jan Kaláb, Ondřej Vyhnánek, David Strauzz, Lukáš Kladívko, Tomáš Javůrek, and the duo Obras Akrobad.
The fact that the works are replaced as many as three times a year makes Artwise the Wall a unique showcase of Czech street art. The wall is currently adorned with murals by two Slovak artists based in Prague: Radim Straka and Juraj Ďuriš.
