In the autumn of 2022, various artists painted part of the Papengang, transforming the dark alley into a cheerful space. These colourful fish-bird-like creatures are the work of the artists’ collective Touptoup. This socially engaged, independent art collective creates, amongst other things, vibrant murals inspired by traditional African designs. -- In het najaar van 2022 hebben verschillende kunstenaars een deel van de Papengang beschilderd, zodat de donkere steeg een vrolijk geheel werd. Deze kleurige vis-vogelachtige wezens, zijn van werk van het kunstenaarscollectief Touptoup. Dit maatschappelijk geëngageerde, onafhankelijke kunstcollectief maakt onder meer levendige muurschilderingen waarbij ze zich laten inspireren door traditionele Afrikaanse ontwerpen.
