Nicola owns her own tattoo studio, Alleycat Tattoo, in Invercargill and loves to experiment with new forms of art. This is her very first mural painted for the South Sea Spray Festival. The hero of this artwork is the extinct NZ native bird the Huia and won the festival "peoples choice award'.
