The second part of the Dale Parade Mural Project supported by the Bankstown Arts Centre. This artwork is inspired by the Koi Path by artist collaborative Pepper Box that runs along Saigon Place between the Bankstown Arts Centre to the station. These kois have found their way from the ground to the walls.

Goldfish have always been my favourite subjects to paint. Through all my visits to the Bankstown Arts Centre, I had never noticed the golden koi fish trail until a fellow artist pointed it out to me at a site briefing. Funnily enough, I was literally standing on top of one of the plates. I thought it was a wonderful coincidence and made me ponder all the small details that go unnoticed in one’s daily route.
