Mural in tribute to Forges

Description

For this mural, a selection of four cartoons by the Spanish graphic humorist Antonio Fraguas de Pablo, known as Forges, was chosen.

The piece mimics comic book techniques and uses a monochromatic color scheme. Additionally, it was the final mural completed in this first series. In the words of Paco Reyes:

'The last one we painted was the tribute to Forges. And I have to say, the person "to blame" for selecting those specific four cartoons was our Dean, Jorge Clemente. Out of more than 90 proposals, he ultimately chose those four (which are excellent, by the way). I know it was painful for him to leave out some truly sublime ones, but the wall only had room for four, so that’s what we did. It’s a beautiful tribute that stands out from the aesthetic of the other murals—in this case, by necessity, as we couldn't reinterpret Forges’ unique style.'
