For five days, participants painted, reflected and created at the Flattach swimming pool: under the guidance of artist Fredda Wouters, a joint work of art was created in a cross-generational workshop. Seven participants aged between 11 and 78 contributed their ideas – ranging from playful and humorous to profound – and combined them into a larger whole. The result is a three-dimensional mural in the entrance area: a painted window opens up the underwater world of the Möll river with fish, plants and currents. At the edge, a bee reminds us of the fragile diversity of the animal world. Wouters not only taught painting techniques, but also the entire creative process – from sketching to implementation on the wall. This allowed each participant to realise their motif and become part of the overall work of art.
What remains is a lasting work of art in the Flattach swimming pool – a visible sign of creativity, community and the joy of design.
