Akumal Street Art Festival – Spaceism x Venus Collaboration
Akumal, Mexico
In the heart of Akumal—a coastal village known for its turquoise waters and turtle sanctuaries—art spilled into the streets in the form of color, spirit, and connection during the Akumal Street Art Festival. Among the international lineup of artists, a powerful collaboration emerged between Dan Sapunar (Spaceism) and Venus, blending cosmic vision with feminine force in a mural that became one of the festival’s most talked-about highlights.
Their piece was a portal—radiant, symbolic, and deeply intentional. Flowing with bold shapes, astral motifs, and divine energy, the mural brought together Spaceism’s signature galactic geometry and Venus’ sacred, organic symbolism. A cosmic goddess emerged at the center—her eyes closed, yet watching the stars. Around her, planetary spirals, stardust trails, and waves of ancestral color.
The work spoke of origin and future, of the divine feminine as a bridge between Earth and cosmos. Painted on a sun-washed wall near the beach, the mural became both landmark and altar—drawing people in to pause, reflect, and reconnect.
More than a collaboration, it was a ritual in paint—a shared prayer from two artists who believe in beauty as resistance, and art as a language beyond words.
Akumal Festival – where walls breathe and colors speak.
Space is the place.
