Hazelbrook Community Mural 2011

The mural is set against the dramatic backdrop of a raging bushfire. Local birds featured are the King Parrot, Sulphur-crested Cockatoo and Powerful Owl. The mural includes a local Aboriginal hands painting and an Aboriginal kangaroo motif. An early local sawmill, passengers on the single line Hazelbrook station in the late 1890s, a 1920s scene of a snow covered petrol pump at a Hazelbrook service station and a stump-jump plough on a 1900 fruit farm, all offer glimpses of the history of the area.
