Description

For Nuart 2024, the Undergangen Collective visited Stavanger and installed more than 200 artworks, including paste-ups, paper collages, and ceramics. Due to the temporary nature of their material many of the works have since disappeared, but a lot of the ceramic pieces remain.

The collective brought together four female artists: Miss Printed, Dish, Hello the Mushroom, and KBR. Their work explored the question, “Who would you choose to be alone in the woods with: a man or a bear?” and highlighted important concerns about women’s safety and their experiences in public spaces.

Hi, I’m Julian Braithwaite, a street art hunter and photographer. I moved to Stavanger, Norway from the UK in 2012, and it was not long before I became captivated by the abundance of street art throughout the city, mostly from the renowned Nuart Festival. I have come to really appreciate art in the environment of the streets, and the importance of documenting this work.
