“La Passerelle” is a hybrid, flowing creature that slips across the façade like a passerby — a gentle, watchful presence woven into the heart of the neighborhood. It pays tribute to the cadavre exquis, the surrealist drawing game born a century ago in response to rising authoritarianism — and still powerfully relevant today.
The figure retains a three-part structure: a double head with intertwined birds holding a plant in their beaks, symbolizing peace; a torso made of interlocking hands, representing fraternity; and walking legs, driven by a collective momentum toward freedom. At its feet, a small sprouting plant embodies hope and a will to transform.
