Author's comments:

Theme: environment. This work, located in the square of the same name, is in a neighbourhood where the town's fishermen traditionally lived. This activity, once so deeply rooted in the town's tradition and now lost as it was known, as a resource for the exploitation of catarrogins and catarrogines, ensured that a sector of the population actively defended and prevented the Albufera from the attacks to which it is exposed today.

Furthermore, although the trade as such has been lost, its culture lives on, leaving us with things such as traditional songs from the village. A verse from one of these songs can be read in the sky above the Albufera in this mural.

- The anecdotes were very positive, especially in terms of my interactions with occasional spectators. They made me feel that the work was well received by the public.

- It is worth mentioning that the lifting machine, which is commonly used for these tasks, did not cause any problems, when, thanks to my experience, I can say that it is common for something to happen and delay the work.

- During the process, the City Council decided to expand the space that had initially been planned, extending and covering the entire structure with a most impressive result. Therefore, I also used more paint than expected.

I live in Valencia, but I was born in a small town inland called Requena, in the Valencian region. I’m into all kinds of stuff—like stereoscopic photography, origami, and, for the past few years, street art (the biggest open-air museum).
