“Moltke Wiese” refers to Moltkeplatz (Sculpture Meadow) in Essen’s Moltke district. It is located just a few minutes’ walk southeast of the main train station and is a popular, publicly accessible open-air sculpture park. The area is known for its combination of nature and art in public spaces. The lawn, lined with tall plane trees, features temporary and permanent works by renowned sculptors from the 1980s and 1990s. The lawn is open to the public and may be used by all residents and visitors. The Kunst am Moltkeplatz e.V. association is responsible for maintaining the ensemble.
