Brazilian artist Carao (Tadeu Junior), hailing from Londrina in southern Brazil, has been active in graffiti since 2000, with a powerful focus on portraying and celebrating Black people, especially children, women, and men, through a bold, recognizable style. His work seeks to amplify representation and bring his community’s strength and beauty to the streets.
Having already painted at Meeting of Styles Belgium in 2019, Carao returned in 2025, appreciating both the welcoming vibe of the city and its pleasant summer climate. For this edition, he created a striking mural of a Black child in two contrasting poses: one serious and introspective, the other dynamic and running. The work highlights a dual message, reflection and freedom, emphasizing the emotional depth and uninhibited joy every child deserves to experience.
Over 70 visionary artists from across the globe are set to transform more than 4000 square meters of urban arena at the "ZOMERFABRIEK" in street art district Berchem, during an electrifying weekend of live painting, culture, and community at Meeting of Styles Belgium. Guided by this year’s theme, "The Chosen Cause," the artists channel personal stories and convictions into bold visual expressions.
