WP8 Kunstverein
Description
The WP8 Künstlerverein is an independent, legendary underground art initiative and bar located directly at Worringer Platz in Düsseldorf.
Founded in 1992 by Düsseldorf Art Academy graduates, it operates as a non-profit space bridging the gap between an art gallery, an experimental concert venue, and a smoky subcultural bar. It is highly respected for keeping the raw, independent counter-culture alive in Düsseldorf, hosting everything from avant-garde exhibitions, performance art, and poetry slams to punk, electronic, and experimental music gigs.

In 2013 I started with a new hobby. In the beginning it was difficult to get reliable information how to find streetart in public space. In 2016, I had the idea of sharing my information with other street art enthusiasts and started my blog “Streetartwalks”. When I found out about this new street art community at the beginning of 2018, I was immediately on board.
