This mural is a small tribute to the women of the Cerro neighborhood, those ladies who, with hard work and care, fill the streets with flowerpots and flowers, transforming every corner into a veritable garden. It's located next to the Puerta del Sol, an ancient archway with Moorish character that serves as the entrance to this special neighborhood in Cabra, known precisely for its flower-filled streets.
The mural depicts a woman watering her plants, a common sight that's part of daily life in the neighborhood. Her clothing, hairstyle, and appearance are inspired by those elderly women we all recognize, women who have spent their entire lives caring for their homes, patios, and flowers.
The mural also has a special detail: it's actually painted on two separate walls, and only from a specific point marked on the ground with a blue tile can the complete scene be seen perfectly aligned. From that spot, the two walls visually merge, forming a single image, creating an anamorphic effect that draws everyone to that point to see the entire mural.
This is also the fifth mural on the Subbética mural route that I'm working on as part of this project.
I've worked on this mural with a lot of passion and care, trying to capture the essence of this corner of town and the people who make it so special.
And of course, a huge thank you to the residents of the Cerro neighborhood and the entire town of Cabra for the warm welcome the mural received and for the kind and friendly treatment I've received these past few days. It's been a pleasure to be able to leave a mural here.

Este mural es un pequeño homenaje a las mujeres del barrio del Cerro, esas señoras que, con trabajo y cariño, llenan las calles de macetas y flores y convierten cada rincón en un auténtico jardín. Está situado junto a la Puerta del Sol, un arco antiguo con carácter árabe que es la entrada a este barrio tan especial de Cabra, conocido precisamente por sus calles llenas de flores.
El mural representa a una mujer regando sus plantas, algo muy común, que forma parte del día a día del barrio. Su vestimenta, su peinado y su aspecto están inspirados en esas señoras mayores que todos reconocemos, mujeres que llevan toda una vida cuidando de sus casas, de sus patios y de sus flores.
El mural tiene además un detalle especial: en realidad está pintado sobre dos paredes diferentes, separadas entre sí, y solo desde un punto concreto marcado en el suelo con un azulejo azul se puede ver la escena completa perfectamente encajada. Desde ese lugar las dos paredes se unen visualmente formando una sola imagen, creando una anamorfosis en el cual todas las personas se ponen en ese punto para ver el mural completo.
Este es además el quinto mural de la ruta de murales de la Subbética que estoy realizando dentro de este proyecto.
He trabajado este mural con mucha pasión y mucho cariño, intentando capturar la esencia de este rincón del pueblo y de las personas que lo hacen tan especial.
Y por supuesto, muchísimas gracias a los vecinos del barrio del Cerro y a todo el pueblo de Cabra por la gran acogida del mural y por el trato tan bueno y amable que he recibido durante estos días. Ha sido un placer poder dejar aquí un mural.
