Lukas Kasper was thrilled to be approached by Mount Alexander Shire Council to create a 24-meter-long mural with complete creative freedom. With such a large space and the unique challenge of working around seating areas, he seized the opportunity to make a bold statement featuring local cockatoos. Using a simple yet striking color palette, he brought the design to life with imaginative, flowing elements.

Located in Mechanics Lane, in the heart of Castlemaine, the mural has become a vibrant addition to the community’s hub. This type of public art—where Lukas can merge his passion for animals with his traditional street art background—is his favorite, celebrating Australia’s stunning wildlife in a distinctive and creative way.
