In January 2019, some of the worlds best street artists transformed some grey city walls into colourful masterpieces as part of the Street Prints Manaia, International Art Festival. 15 incredible murals based on the theme “Tui ate muka Tangata – Weaving the Thread of Humanity”. 

"Candice 00:00,02" was created for the Street Prints Manaia festival held in Whangarei in January 2019. On their website they utilise "Fragmented Record" as a term "to describe the study of the decomposition of movement / time and emotion / feeling." This mural was created from two photos taken 1 second apart in Brussels, Belgium. 

The painting examines man's relationship with technology such as cell phones and how this can cause a loss of physical contact with others. Human species have to adapt to a changing planet.
