Yann chose to paint a seaman fighting againts the elements , the wind in his face, the determination in his eyes.

Inspired by graffiti, Yann Chatelin discovered drawing at the age of 15. Graffiti will become his main passion for calligraphy  and the alphabets of the world, real or imaginary. With china ink, acrylic or bomb, all the tools are used to sublimate handwriting.
The letters, the words, the phrases, vectors of meaning, knowledge, a means of collective and individual memory, are at the center of Yann Chatelin’s work. His creations invade canvases and walls from Casablanca to Kathmandu.
