Artist Mykolė Ganusauskaitė created a 4.5x65 m mural entitled "Aukštapelkės" under the Geležinio Vilko Street viaduct.
"Park your car at 10 Baltupio Street near Circle K, grab a coffee, and go see my wall. If you're travelling by public transport, the nearest stop is Ateities," invites the author of the mural.
M. Ganusauskaitė combines landscape painting with themes of ecology and nature conservation in her work, so Aukštapelkės, like all of her work, reminds us of the importance of protecting Lithuania's peat bogs, which are an integral part of our country's ecosystem.
This work is one of the winners of the "Green Capital Stories" competition.
