Description

In Zakkendragerssteeg, near the Oudegracht, there is a 1993 artwork by the Utrecht-based illustrator and commercial artist Adri de Bruijn (1927–1999). Among other things, Adri de Bruijn was responsible in Utrecht for the huge, hand-painted film billboards that used to adorn the façades of Utrecht’s cinemas.

In the work, which consists of five panels, scenes from Venice and London blend into one another. The building on which the mural is located used to house an English pub.
