Description

“The Seymour Viaduct project was a locally initiated project with funding from the Victorian State Government’s Pick My Project initiative. After succeeding in securing funding through this initiative, a local committee of two amazing Seymour residents who were part of a group called ‘The Seymour We Want’ engaged us to transform an old grime-covered railway viaduct in to an outdoor gallery with 75 meters of mural artworks paying tribute to all things Seymour. Community consultation was undertaken by the residents to gauge insight into what local residents and community groups wanted reflected in the murals. The themes that came out of community consultation included local flora and fauna, a reference to the river upon which Seymour sits (the Goulburn River), local landmarks and historical buildings and the rich railway heritage of the town.”

Hi, my name is Neda. What started off as exploring the street art during lunch time, has over time turned into an obsession. ‘Going for a drive’ or ‘a bit of a walk’ would take me to parts of this beautiful country that I would otherwise never see. Street art hunting has become my fitness regime and the lens through which I explore the world. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a thriving street art scene and a group of dedicated hunters in this city. Let us show you around?
