Angel Wings

Description

The artwork ‘Angel Wings’, created in 2020, is located on the external wall of the Welzijn E25 building at De Vloot 208.

For this initiative, Dutch street artist Rolf de Bakker collaborated with Morad Assaiti, youth work team leader at E25, the organisation based in this building. The idea was to create an ‘Instagrammable’ mural – the result is two large wings in front of which people can have their photograph taken, accompanied by the text ‘Spread your wings and see how far you can fly!’

Street artist and digital image editor Rolf de Bakker, who has lived in Maassluis since 2017, is known for his colourful murals. He organised the ‘Coloured Walls’ project in Maassluis, of which this mural forms part.
