Levi Naidu-Mitchell is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in London. Her artistic practice is deeply rooted in the culture of carnival, community and the celebration of heritage. Her art revolves around the dynamics of carnival. She does not view carnival merely as a performance, but as a fleeting, powerful moment that brings communities together.

At the centre of the composition she made for the Portobello Wall, stands a colourful carnival figure with an impressive headdress of feathers and bright wings, surrounded by the silhouettes of a dancing or watching crowd. The painting connects the energy of the festival with recognisable architectural elements from the surroundings, such as the trees and rows of houses lining the street.
