Numerous dark blue motifs cover a white wall approximately 20 metres wide. The composition brings together a variety of natural forms, including flowers, insects, snails and a lizard.
Created in 2026, the mural is by Gerhard Hofmann, a freelance artist who lives and works in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. His principal artistic focus is printmaking, particularly colour etching. Alongside graphic portfolios inspired by literary subjects, he has produced numerous city views depicting places in the Palatinate, elsewhere in Germany and across Europe. His awards include the Rhineland-Palatinate State Award for Graphic Art in 1984 and the Palatinate Painting Prize in 1986. In 2020, he received the Cultural Award of the Cultural Association of Neustadt an der Weinstraße.
The mural adds an example of large-scale public art to Hofmann's documented body of work.
