This mural is a document of the history of this location. Once this was the main railroad connection between Rotterdam and The Hague, but it has not been used in that way for a long time. The design and color pallete are based on the pamflet that was used to introduce the opening of the line in 1908.

The old rail structure will be transformed into a park over the coming years. This mural is best seen from the old tracks where the trains used to ride, so let's hope the park opens soon.

Deze muurschildering documenteert de geschiedenis van deze locatie. Ooit was dit de belangrijkste spoorverbinding tussen Rotterdam en Den Haag, maar die functie is al lang niet meer in gebruik. Het ontwerp en kleurenpalet zijn gebaseerd op de brochure die in 1908 werd gebruikt om de opening van de lijn aan te kondigen.

De oude spoorstructuur zal de komende jaren worden omgevormd tot een park. Deze muurschildering is het best te zien vanaf de oude sporen waar de treinen vroeger reden, dus laten we hopen dat het park snel opengaat.
