Reflections of Lithgow

Description

A Lithgow Tidy Towns Project sponsored by Delta Electricity and Lithgow City Council, and painted by the artist with the help of many friends. The artwork includes many historical scenes in Lithgow, including:

  • Lithgow Valley Brick, Pottery & Pipe Works c1934

  • The Vale Colliery under police protection 1890

  • Zig Zag accident on 4 April 1901 and railway viaducts

  • Isaac Easterbrook, a bootmaker on Main Street Lithgow in the early 1900s, and

  • An Aboriginal Camp at Blackfellow's Hands, to name a few.
