Painted in June 2026, this community mural is part of the STAR 2.0 project - an international Erasmus+ initiative that uses street art to engage young people in city life, strengthen community bonds, and create spaces for dialogue.
The mural is the outcome of dedicated workshops led by street artist Chemis, where young people shared their ideas, stories, and experiences. Together, the local community turned these ideas into a collective artwork, shaping their environment.
Drawing inspiration from Jablonec nad Nisou’s heritage as a city of glass beads and jewellery, the mural reflects the idea that, just like individual beads threaded together form a unique necklace, diverse people coming together build the fabric of a city. It serves as a reminder that art can connect us and that a city is at its most beautiful when everyone has their place.
The project was initiated by EPMA and brought to life in collaboration with local organisations: Kruháč, Krajanka, and Vikýř.
Under the guidance of Chemis, the mural was co-created by: Amina Korshenko, Anna Shovkun, Ivan Kripak, Kateryna Holianych, Maria Stepanenko, Oleksandr Zhukov, Oleksandra Kushnir, Pradeep Marimuthu, Vladyslav Pshenychnyi, Klaudie Kadrmasová, Valerie Kadrmasová, Florián Kadrmas, Pukáš, Adri, Jordan, Dan, Leonek, Miťo, Jaroušek, Gongi, Teo, Sebíček, Joula, Zagga, Max Štefec, Natálie Ilnická, Lucie Králová, Olesia Savrašova, and Ilona Literová.
