La Palma Night

Description

The mural was contracted by the city council of the town of Breña Baja, which wanted to reflect in a mural one of the main attractions of the island: its night sky. The night on the island of La Palma brings together the perfect conditions for a view of the sky that has crossed borders, having impact and recognition by the highest international authorities within the scientific community. This is why the mural reflects a person in the foreground contemplating a representation of the Milky Way, which can be seen with the naked eye from practically anywhere on the island. The solitude, the clouds that softened it and good views from the top of the mural made the days quite enjoyable.

"As a curiosity, the night before starting I felt like I had to give the original design one more spin (the last photo). They explicitly asked me for the GRANTECAN telescope, but on the afternoon of the first day it occurred to me to add a face to the design. The why? Because the first thing you do when you arrive in La Palma and it gets dark is look up and freak out.

Hunter

Tiny Tim
Started out hunting the streets in Antwerp, and completely bitten by the 'street art' virus. And the only cure is: HUNT SOME MORE. I love showing people all the amazing Belgian artists, run street art tours in my city and occasionally facilitate new mural projects. I love to travel and meet other hunters and artists. So hit me up when you're in town.
