James Cochran is geboren in Australië, waar hij ook zijn pointillistische graffitistijl ontwikkelde. Tegenwoordig woont hij in London. Hij verwierf faam met het portret van Usain Bolt tijdens de Olympische Spelen in 2012 en in 2016 met het portret van David Bowie in Brixton.
