"Tiger & Turtle – Magic Mountain" is a globally unique, walkable sculpture designed in the shape of a roller coaster. Located in Angerpark in southern Duisburg, Germany, this landmark was created by artists Heike Mutter and Ulrich Genth and opened in 2011. It has since become one of the most famous photo spots in the Ruhr region.
The name of the sculpture plays on a paradox. The roller coaster shape represents the speed and speed of a tiger. However, because visitors can only explore it on foot, they move as slowly as a turtle
The sculpture sits on a 78-meter-high hill and stands 20 meters tall itself. It can sway slightly in strong winds. The paved path leading up the hill is wheelchair and stroller accessible, but the stairs of the sculpture itself are not.
