Climate inaction is a crime

Painting by @dan23instagram for #YOUTH4CLIMATEJUSTICE, to pay tribute to these 6 young Portuguese activists, aged 11 to 24, who arrive this September 27 in Strasbourg after filing the first complaint relating to climate change. They attack no less than 32 countries before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. This is the largest number of countries ever translated in the face of climate inaction and its consequences on our future. It is a landmark climate case that could hold governments accountable for moving too slowly in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. If the verdict is positive, the countries in question will be legally obliged to increase emissions and fossil fuel reductions and also to fight international contributions to climate change, including those of their multinationals.
