Description

"Hera starts on the left. Olivia on the right. At first, a little girl is learning to dance. Her positions are disciplined, almost school-like. She is learning the steps, trying to get things right, placing her body correctly. And then, little by little, the rules begin to disappear. The body relaxes, the movement becomes freer. Perfection is no longer really the goal. She simply dances. And as they tell this story, something rather beautiful happens before my eyes: Hera and Olivia are doing exactly the same thing. Each moves forward with her own gesture. Hera’s lively, instinctive lines on one side, Olivia’s free-flowing shapes on the other. They step into each other’s work, blend their gestures, respond to one another, and perhaps allow themselves to be surprised. In the end, they had set out to paint a little girl learning to free herself from the rules. And somewhere in the middle of the wall, they gave themselves permission to do the same - right here, on this wall in Strasbourg." (description from the COLORS Urban Art Festival homepage)

Hera and Olivia de Bona were two of the featured artists at the COLORS Urban Art Festival 2026 in Strasbourg. Every year, under the artistic direction of Stom500, the Festival brings together street artists, invited to paint murals on a site provided for the occasion. For its 8th edition, the Festival took place at the AFPA training center. The ten participating artists were Hera, Olivia De Bona, Koga, Rero, Fork One, Missy, FloaFleur, Friture de Style, Loïc Lusnia and Jean-Michel Ouvry.
