A likable, colorful, and peaceful character. A bon vivant and a confirmed bachelor—like five of his seven siblings—he worked as a mule driver his entire life, occasionally swapping his mule for a donkey. At the same time, like almost all men of his era, he cultivated his small plot of land, took his livestock up to the mountain pastures, and took great care of his vineyard plots in Vétroz and Conthey.
The grape harvest, which was processed at the winery in Haute Nendaz, was generously shared with his large extended family and countless friends. A good man and a truly generous soul
