News @ Ten

Description

The artwork on the pane of a boarded-up window at 70 Commercial Street was created by an anonymous British guerrilla and street artist working under the pseudonym Skint London, and forms part of a series entitled The Transcendental Tabloid (or News @ Ten).

Through this, the artist creates a fictional, utopian news channel. Instead of the fear, division and propaganda often spread by mainstream media, he aims to convey spiritual wisdom, positive affirmations and motivational quotes through his messages. The text at the bottom of the poster (“Your entire world is about to undergo a transformation so profound...”) is intended to make passers-by reflect on inner growth and a shift in consciousness.

These stencils by Skint London have been appearing on the streets of London since 2024 (particularly in creative neighbourhoods such as Shoreditch and Brick Lane).
