Muurschildering van Jan Rosius a.k.a. Deejoohcee in een steegje in de buurt waar de artiest woont.

Deejoohcee hoopt dat zijn muurschildering mensen kan samenbrengen door het proces van kunst maken. Zijn werk 'Future vision' / 'Toekomstvisie' is dan ook een warme oproep aan steden om te investeren in street art: 'Stel je een stad voor die hun lokale talenten / kunstenaars een jaarlijks budget geeft om actief muren te beschilderen in en met de lokale gemeenschappen. Geen eenmalig project, maar een echt engagement op lange termijn om gesprekken, samenwerkingen en blijvende inspiratie te creëren om het sociale leven vanaf de basis te vernieuwen en onze toekomstige generaties te versterken. Zou dat niet geweldig zijn?'

Mural by Jan Rosius a.k.a. Deejoohcee in an alley in the neighbourhood where the artist lives.

Deejoohcee hopes his mural can bring people together through the process of making art. His work ‘Future vision’ is therefore a warm call to cities to invest in street art: ‘Imagine a city that gives their local talents / artists an annual budget to actively paint walls in and with local communities. Not a one-off project, but a real long-term commitment to create conversations, collaborations and lasting inspiration to renew social life from the grassroots and empower our future generations. Wouldn't that be great?
