Last night of the Basilisk

Painted during Rexenera festival in June 2025.

The folklore of the Basilisk is commonly known around the world since medival times as the king of snakes capable of killing with it’s gaze. Only two known animals are able to stand against the creature, a weasel and a rooster, one that also gave birth to the beast. The wall depicts a final battle few hours before the sunrise and the crow of the rooster resulting in the death of the Basilisk.

Both protagonists classically stand for several attributes; typically courage and vigilance against cunningness and intelligence. All attributes found in oneself in a battle as to which gets to be the defining one. A rising sun will beat the desperation of the night.
