Part of Conversas Na Rua 2021
This mural is inspired by it's location and link to water, with the fountain Chafariz da Porcalhota, less than 50m away. The commemorative fountain dates back to 1773, when a small spring appeared alongside the construction of the aqueducts of 'free waters' (águas livres).
This Guardian rebel is tattooed with the Celtic, Egyptian and Alchemy symbols for water, surrounded with leaves representing growth, and encompassed in a halo of gold leaf which illuminates as the sun goes down.
