Description

Child playing with a seal.

Urmston used to have three beloved seal sculptures; made by local residents John and Jane Hughes; in the shopping precinct which was built in the mid-60's. They were both art and also provided structures for children to play on.

When the area was revamped; with phase one completing in 2009; the seals were removed and never returned.

This piece is a nod to the Urmston seals and is high on the outer wall of the Iceland store in Eden Square. It has a Banksy look to it, but presumably isn't a genuine Banksy.
