AES & SMILAX ASPERA

The inspiration comes from the Greek mythological figures of nymphs. Teti, name of one of the marine Nereids with the gift of metamorphosis, is linked with the Smilax Aspera (which curiously is also called teti in some local dialects), a very common creeper in the area that also takes its name from another nymph who was transformed into this plant for an impossible love. The town of Teti is also home to an important archaeological site dating back to the Bronze Age. It is precisely this chemical element (Aes) that is mentioned in the work to strengthen its link with the place, as is the Pintadera di S'Urbale depicted in the central white circle which represents a very important find on a historical level.
